What I did on the weekend

Friday I was down, do I had some red wine.
People, who say that drinking doesn’t help, are dumb. Much like the people that say that money can't buy you happiness.
Alca-ma-hol is brilliant for slowing the brain, damping ambition, and helping one forget for a while.
All of these properties are useful.
Ran out of red and was rooting around in the cupboard for Scotch. All I could find was some J W black crap. I've run out of the proper Scottish stuff.
Was surprised to find a half bottle of Calvados. Spent ten minutes trying to remember where it had come from.
Finally decided 'fuck it' and drank a fists worth o fingers while I watched Lost in Translation DVD, while scoffing English chocolate (dark stuff with zest and spices I think.)
Great movie, but I don't understand why everyone thinks they had sex. It's obvious that they didn't.
It's a movie about aloneness. It’s also about how strange Japan is for Westerners.

Nursed a hangover on Saturday.

Sunday there was a coffee fest in Sydney.
Went down to take some photos with a photo group I’ve joined.
Would have had some coffee but the lines were stupidly long.
I don't queue.
Lost everyone else in the group.
Listened to some music.

There was a belly dancer. Belly dancers are much hotter then pole dancers.
Photos attached.

  1. I agree. Theres nothing like a drink or five to help you forget what you'd been stewing about ;)
Thats it i'm definitly moving to Oz. You have coffee fests??? Is there any kind of fest you all dont have?

  3. I am not one for lines either... I can't see waiting for things:)

And I agree... belly dancers are very sexy. I think perhaps I have a better appreciation for them since I once belly danced myself (sadly, I was not so sexy ::chuckles::)... it is SO hard. My god, and it hurts when you are learning how... talk about muscles you never knew you had! OWIE!

I miss being able to drink whenever I feel the urge... wines do not last long with me... I've been having a love affair with Shiraz at the moment... delicious and it goes down so smoothly. YUM... I need to visit the liquor store and grab a bottle or two:)

  4. sorrow loves company, and I was with you on the alca-ma-hol as I sat home alone on the 4th, floods of people flocked together at the waterfront and I watched from my window with my little friend patron..nothing like tequila to wash the downs away . ;-)
